Our Story — Silverage London

In a world full of fast fashion and plated metals, Silverage London was born from something simple and sincere: a husband searching for a meaningful gift for his wife. I wasn’t looking for anything extravagant - just a piece of jewellery that was genuine, skin-safe, beautifully made, and within reach. What I found instead was frustration. Most stores sold gold-plated pieces that faded, irritated the skin, or simply didn’t last.

So I made a decision that would change my life.

If I couldn’t find affordable, authentic gold or silver jewellery, I would learn how to make it myself.

My journey began in Hatton Garden, where I studied silversmithing and fell in love with the art of shaping metal with my own hands. Working with real silver and gold awakened something I didn’t know I had - the patience, skill, and passion for creating pieces that would last a lifetime. What started as a personal mission became a craft, and that craft soon became a calling.

With the support of my family, I opened Silverage in the heart of Palmers Green, London. From day one, our promise was clear:

no plated jewellery, no shortcuts, no compromises.

Just real materials, honest quality, and craftsmanship you can trust.

In our store, we do more than sell jewellery - we make it. Our in-house silversmith crafts custom pieces, repairs treasured items, and restores watches with speed, precision, and care. We understand that jewellery often carries memories, and handling those memories is a privilege we don’t take lightly.

Over the years, customers began asking for more, so I started carefully selecting pieces to stock. But I stayed true to my rule: if it wasn’t pure silver or real gold, I wouldn’t sell it. Every item, whether in-store or online, is chosen the same way I would choose a gift for my own family - genuine, skin-safe, responsibly made, and built to last.

Our silver is protected with rhodium or platinum plating to prevent natural tarnish, and our gold is solid all the way through - never just a coating. Because quality shouldn’t come with hidden surprises.

Ten years on, Silverage London has become more than a jewellery store. We’re a family-run workshop, a trusted local jeweller, and a place where customers return because they know they’ll be treated honestly. People come to us not just for what we sell, but for what we stand for:

And to this day, every time I make or select a piece, I think back to where it all started - with a simple gift for someone I love.
